Japan Display plans to enter into the AM-OLED market during 2013

According to an article from Digitimes Japan Display has recently announced it will initially focus on the development of small to medium-size flat panels display based on LCD technology. It was also reported that Japan Display plans to enter the AM-OLED market during 2013. Japan Display is expected to develop AM-OLED based displays suitable for three market segments - smartphones, tablet PC and digital cameras. ![]() Sales of small- to medium-size panels are expected to grow by a CAGR of 19% from 2010-2015, with total sales value to reach JPY4.5 trillion (US$5.56 billion) in 2015, Japan Display estimated. |
