Konarka settles its patent lawsuit with Plextronics

No disclosure of the terms of the settlement with Plextronics were made public, resolution was to mutual satisfaction

Konarka has announced they have settled the lawsuit it co-filed in 2009 with DuPont Displays and University of California against Plextronics. The lawsuit against Plextronics claimed that the company had infringed an organic photovoltaic technology patent.

Konarka did not disclose any terms of the settlement with Plextronics but said the grounds were to "mutual satisfaction". The University of California owned the patent in question, and DuPont Displays Inc. licensed the patent. Konarka, which produces flexible solar panel technology, had sub-licensed the patent.
